Silver or platinum chain is always best, choice people can pull off gold, it's easy to tell, just look at their regular jewelry, if it's mostly silver than go with silver! Also, don't go too big! Unless you're getting engaged most women prefer to be understated, but still beautiful! A little diamond on a silver chain is perfect! Or even go a step farther and get a charm bracelet with her name on it and little charms of things that she likes! Also perfect for Valentine's Day is a silver heart necklace! But remember to choose within her tastes! If she likes diamonds go with diamonds and if she is simple and conservative go with a simple silver heart!
